A Night at the Opera
Concert details
Join us for a wonderful summer evening of music as we share some of our favourite choruses and arias from operas by Mozart, Bizet, Puccini, Rossini, Verdi and others. With great tunes like Habanera, Pilgrims’ Chorus and Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves an enjoyable evening is guaranteed, even if you aren’t an opera buff!
Our Guest Soloists will be Alexandra Stevenson (Soprano), Ciara Hendrick (Mezzo) and Colin Campbell (Bass) and they will be joined on this occasion by our Music Director Clifford Lister who – as regular members of the audience at our concerts will know – is no stranger to the concert platform as a Tenor Soloist. Solo items to look forward to include the Pearlfishers’ Duet, Soave sia il vento from Cosi fan tutte and the famous Quartet Bella figlia dell’amore from Rigoletto.
Piano accompaniment will be provided by Patrick Dunn.
