Christmas Carol Concert

Our annual Carol Concert is one of Thanet’s most cherished and long-standing musical traditions, and dates back to at least 1954, only eight years after the Choir was founded. For many people – and certainly for Choir members – the Festival Choir’s Carol Concert signifies the true start of the Festive Season. Come and join us for a programme of traditional carols – there will be plenty of opportunities for the audience to sing along with favourites such as ‘Once in royal David’s city’!

Charity appeals have formed an important element of the Carol Concert almost from the beginning. This year’s charities will be the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (Margate Branch), Thanet Food Link and Deal Area Food Bank. . If you have a favourite charity which you would like us to support in future years please contact us.

Entry to this concert is by progamme, price £5 for adults and £2 for accompanied children, available from choir members, from the Ticket Secretary (telephone 01304  620560), via this website (see below) or at the door. Programmes will be on sale at the beginning of December.

Please note that there will be a £1 booking charge for online purchases, to cover PayPal administration charges and postage costs.
