Margate Civic Society and Thanet Festival Choir are pleased to present ‘Jubilations’.

This concert of royal and patriotic music has been arranged to celebrate the completion of the restoration of  Margate Jubilee Clock Tower’s historic Time Ball by the Margate Civic Society.  The Clock Tower is an iconic and well-loved feature of Margate, built to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee,  and the Time Ball has not worked for many years

The programme will include favourites such as ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Rule Britannia’ and ”Zadok the Priest’,  as well as some less well-known music associated with royalty, and if you want to wave your Union Jack that’s fine by us!

All tickets are priced at £7.50; there is no reserved seating. Tickets are available by online booking via this website (see below) until Tuesday 20th May,  from the Ticket Secretary by telephoning 01304 620560, from Choir members and from the Theatre Royal Box Office on the day. Any profits will be divided equally between the Margate Civic Society Jubilee Clock Tower Restoration Project and the Thanet Festival Choir.
