Come to our Choral Clinic on Saturday 9th February
Deborah Miles-Johnson, who will lead our Choral Clinic on 9th February, works regularly with the UK’s leading choirs and has developed methods of enhancing the choral sound and giving amateur singers a new-found confidence in their own voices. She is an experienced professional singer, teacher and conductor who will help us improve our basic singing techniques, concentrating on things like breathing, vowel sounds, posture and sound quality. This is a wonderful opportunity to work on our basic singing technique, something which we don’t have enough time to do in our regular Wednesday rehearsals. The workshop will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Broadstairs, from 11am-1pm and 2.30-4pm, with a ‘bring and share’ lunch between the two sessions. Guests are very welcome to join us. There’s no charge, although we’d appreciate a £3 donation towards the cost of lunch – but we do need a rough idea of numbers attending, so if you’d like to join us please contact us or email thanetfestivalchoir@gmail.com
