No ‘live’ rehearsals yet
Although the most recent government guidance does allow amateur choirs and music groups to rehearse outdoors, or in Covid-secure venues, we have taken the very difficult decision not to return yet. With Covid infections rising and winter approaching it seems neither prudent nor responsible for us as an organisation to take this step now. The plan is to review the situation in December, in the hope that it will be possible to start rehearsals again in January – albeit in smaller groups, and with no immediate prospect of any concerts. In the meantime we are enjoying ‘singalong’ sessions on Zoom with Clifford every Wednesday evening – works tackled so far are the Mozart and Elgar settings of Ave Verum Corpus and the ‘Kyrie’ from Mozart’s Missa Brevis in D.
