What they say about us
Handel ‘Samson’: 16th November 2019
An extremely good performance, and the soloists were superb!
The sound flooded down the Church like an enveloping tidal wave of harmony and expression, sweeping all before it.
What a great concert! I think that was one of the best yet.
The Choir sang really well, and kept the energy going right to the end ( no sign of flagging). We very much enjoyed the orchestra, too.
Gilbert & Sullivan: 22nd June 2019
Such an enjoyable concert … so many ‘earworms’.
Wonderful evening, thank you all.
The gentlemen sounded as good as I’ve ever heard them sound.
Really fine quality of singing.
Mendelssohn ‘St Paul’: 30th March 2019
The concert was absolutely amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Choir was superb.
It was a fantastic concert and I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it.
Great performance from choir, soloists, orchestra and conductor.
Karl Jenkins ‘The Armed Man’: 10th November 2018
Thank you for a wonderful evening. The Choir as excellent as ever, great poetry readings by Simon Paisley Day and how wonderful was young Alicia Hunt.
We had a perfect view of the choir and the talented musicians in the small orchestra and greatly enjoyed the performance. The music was moving and excellent and the readings gave an opportunity for powerful reflection.
ABBA to Oliver! My Fair Lady to The Beatles – Favourite Songs of Yesteryear: 30th June 2018
Had to write to say how much I enjoyed Saturday’s concert. The choir sounded wonderful, brilliant phrasing and such sensitive dynamics
I’m sure you could tell how much the audience enjoyed it by their response, and it looked as though you were all having fun too
Gounod ‘Saint Cecilia Mass’ and Vierne ‘Messe Solennelle’: 24th March 2018
‘The Vierne was simply show-stopping’
‘It was a lovely concert; I didn’t know either piece and particularly liked the Gounod Kyrie and Vierne Agnus Dei. The choir sounded on top form’
‘Thoroughly enjoyed the music! It looked as though everyone was enjoying it, too’
‘A performance full of wonderfully passionate singing, and controlled dynamic contrasts’
‘Impressed with the high quality and professional standard – we wish that more people in Thanet were aware of the Choir’s existence and could experience an evening like this’
Handel ‘Israel in Egypt’: Saturday 4th November 2017
‘The singing in the opening chorus almost moved me to tears’
‘Brilliant, just utterly brilliant’
‘An amazing concert – it was a privilege to be there’
‘What a fantastic concert that was! It’s a wonderful piece of music, but more than that, you sang it wonderfully. I don’t think I’d have enjoyed it more in the Albert Hall. Right from the first notes, the confidence of the choirs set the scene and you seemed to be loving it right to the end. Congratulations to all’.
