Tickets for Passiontide Concert now on sale
We are delighted to return to the beautiful surroundings and acoustic of Holy Trinity Church, Broadstairs on Saturday 25th March (7.30pm) for this year’s Passiontide Concert. Bob Chilcott’s powerful and dramatic setting of texts from St John’s Gospel is a modern work, premiered in 2013, but it follows the same traditional format as Bach’s Passions, with a Tenor Evangelist providing the narrative, interspersed with hymns and meditations sung by the Choir. The work is scored for four Soloists and a nine-piece Orchestral Ensemble (viola, cello, tuba, french horn, two trumpets, trombone, timps and organ), and an exciting evening of great music and high drama is guaranteed.
