Our 2021 Carol Concert

Thanks to the continuing uncertainty over Covid we decided some time ago that this year’s Carol Concert  would be for family and friends, rather than the usual ticketed event – a decision that has since proved to be the right one. We’re delighted that this will take place at St Peter’s Church next Saturday, 18th December, from 3pm for about an hour, and are looking forward to singing together ‘in public’ for the first time in two years – our last public performance was our 2019 Carol Concert. Rehearsals have been going very well and Saturday’s programme will feature excerpts from Handel’s Messiah and ten carols. Sam Prouse will accompany us on the splendid St Peter’s organ, and as usual we’ll be conducted by our Music Director, Clifford, who has promised to open the proceedings in his other role, singing ‘Comfort ye’ and ‘Ev’ry valley shall be exalted’. There will be a collection in aid of Porchlight for those who would like to contribute.
